Our Spring 2024 newsletter is now live!

You can download a copy of our latest newsletter here. Our thanks to our friends at VisionAid who have kindly sponsored this quarter’s newsletter through the inclusion of a double-page advert. Jason from VisionAid will be at our next Demo Day, on Monday 1^st July.

Some highlights from the newsletter to make you aware of:

• The launch of our new Pontefract coffee morning! This will be starting on Thursday 25^th April, from 10am until 12 noon, at the Broken Bridge Wetherspoon, and will take place on the fourth Thursday of the month thereafter. We hope to see you there!
• Our celebration event at our Ridings coffee morning, on Wednesday 15^th May, at which Ed Anderson CBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, will be presenting us with our King’s Award for Voluntary Service. All are welcome!
• Our Annual General Meeting, which will be held in The Old Court Room at Wakefield Town Hall at 11am on Wednesday 5^th June.
• Our seaside trip to Bridlington, on Wednesday 12^th June.

Please note that our Younger Members Social Group, also taking place on the fourth Thursday of the month, has been renamed the Evening Social Group (ESG), to recognise the broad range of ages of people who attend and encourage new members. The time and location of the group meeting has not changed.

As always, I would like to extend my thanks to all our volunteers who make it possible for us to send out the newsletter every quarter – as you can imagine, it is no small undertaking to send out over 1,200 newsletters in a variety of formats across the whole district, so huge thanks to everyone who helps make this happen.
